What is the Helfer-Guide?
In our guide, we share our experiences as spontaneous civilian volunteers and offer you plenty of tips: from effective preparation and appropriate behavior on-site to ensuring your own safety and how to deal with your experiences.
Who are we?
We, the Helfer-Stab gGmbH, are a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded to provide flood aid and support the rebuilding of the Ahr Valley. We act as a bridge between voluntary aid from the public, large-scale aid organizations, and public entities such as Professional chambers and authorities. In doing so, we serve as a point of contact both for those affected and as a networking hub for helpers. Our aim is to network all those involved in flood aid and reconstruction after the floods so that we can work together even better and implement aid projects together. Because together we can complement each other and achieve much more.
